Chances for getting into E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University?
I'll be entering my senior year this fall, and I'm starting to write essays for college applications and such today. I would love to attend Ohio University, and I'm almost positive that I'm eligible for admission because I have a 3.8 GPA and a 24 on my ACT. Plus, I've taken 3 AP classes, and 3 next year, and I'm in numerous clubs. I'm just curious if I'll be accepted into the journalism school. This will be my second year writing for the school newspaper, and my editor gave me an award for outstanding stories. Furthermore, I'll be editor of the entertainment section this upcoming year. But I've been reading that a 25 is required on the ACT to get into the Journalism school. Should I retake for a point higher , or will it really make that big of a difference? Plus, it says that you need to graduate in the top 15% of your class, and I'm maybe top 25%. Do I have any shot of getting in? Please be honest.
